Morocco has been hit by a cold front these days. Yes, even Switzerland has felt some of the Saharan dust. For the locals living in tents and huts, the heavy rain and snowfall has added to the already nasty daily grind. The pictures speak volumes.
Tourism is still very minimal. The borders are open again, but the entry regulations are still complicated. There is a lack of work, money for food, clothes, etc. And now Ramadan, the month of fasting, is coming!
Against hunger in Ramadan - donate now!
That's why we have big plans for the coming week, just before Ramadan! Together with our volunteers in Marrakech/Atlas Mountains, Ouarzazate and Merzouga (desert) we will distribute food packages and school material to families in need. We are collecting money for this now! You can follow the tour on our social media channels.
We would like to put together food baskets of 60 francs each with necessary food for Ramadan. As we all know, during one month of Ramadan the fast is broken at sunset - it is important that poor families eat not only bread, oil and tea during the night, but also vitamins.
